Which amplifier is right for you?
You can choose from a wide variety of Monoblock, Stereo and Multichannel amplifiers.
Monoblock amplifiers
A monoblock amplifier is a single unit responsible for amplifying a single speaker (“mono”). Monoblock amplifiers have better channel separation and crosstalk performance, due to this monoblocks have a slightly better stereo image. One more advantage of monoblock amplifiers is that you can place them very near to the speaker, so you can use a very short speaker cable.
Stereo amplifiers
A stereo amplifier is a single unit responsible for amplifying two speakers. A stereo amp usually internally contains two independent mono amps in one chassis. It is a cost-saving solution compared to monoblock amplifiers.
Multichannel amplifiers
A multichannel amplifier is a single unit responsible for amplifying multiple speakers. Essentially a multi-channel amplifier will reproduce a multichannel audio source distributed over multiple speakers, typically up to 12.
