But if you would at any time wish to change the sound characteristics of the Apollon NCx500 dual mono amplifier you can do so with simply exchanging the op amp (so called Op amp rolling). Our custom input buffer board comes with a DIP8 socket that enables you to attach a wide range of DIP8 compatible operational amplifiers on the market.

SPEAKER OUTPUT CONNECTION
By default we use custom built Apollon Pure OFC Copper Binding Posts that are internally connected to the amplifier with Pure OCC 12AWG Copper Output Wire and soldered with silver solder. They accept banana plugs, spades and bare wire. There is also an option of opting for industry standard Neutrik NL-2 Speakon connectors.

Plenty of reserve wattage for Magnepans, good clean sound, op amp choice matters a lot. Ended up using Burson Vivid’s for clean transients/low bass vs mellow but slow Sparkos OP amps. Better would have required twice as much $$

This amp sounds fantastic. Effortlessly powering Pylon Jasper 23’s. miniDSP SHD as preamp/dac. I can’t find a single reason to spend more money for a power amplifier.

Coupled with Focal Aria 936 this device works wonderfully. The entire audible spectrum from highs to the deepest bass is well revealed. The sound has no distortion, it is very detailed and has very good presence and dynamics. Everybody at my place could feel and hear the sound change from my previous amplifier(denon dra800h). Now the speakers are perfectly powered. I can listen to music all day without any fatigue and the amplifier does not get too warm. I am very happy with it and I thank Tibor for recommending this amplifier to me. It is worth every euro spent. I would buy it again and I recommend it to all owners of demanding (current hungry) speakers like mine.
